Andreas Gursky (born January 15, 1955) is a German visual artist known for his large format architecture and landscape colour photographs, often employing a high point of view. Rhein II, an image by Gursky, fetched $4.3m at Christie's, New York on November 8, 2011, becoming the most expensive photograph ever sold.
Andreas tends to use alot of pictures of one category in one picture. For example in this picture he has looked to focus on the isles in the supermarket. In the supermarket isles are a massive way to express opening this is because they are used to let customers to come through them and choose what they want from a massive variety of products.
He also gets alot of different ways something opens and then creates a great picture.If you look closely at this picture Andreas has really out his mind to this picture. He has used many different ways to open something such as a door,windows,bottles and has decided to create this masterpiece.
